Essential December 2025 Business Tax Deadlines

December is a crucial month for businesses as it comes packed with important tax deadlines, including corporate tax payments and payroll tax deposits. December 15 - Payroll Tax Deposits

Employers subject to the monthly deposit rules must deposit Social Security, Medicare, and withheld income taxes for November 2025 by this date. This deadline also applies to the nonpayroll withholding deposits for November, if applicable.

Final Note for December 31

Since December 31 marks the final opportunity for year-end actions, it’s advisable to act in advance as financial institutions might be closed on the day itself. Plan accordingly to ensure you don’t miss any critical deadlines. Image 2

Weekends & Holidays Considerations:

Business tax due dates that fall on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday are automatically extended to the next business day. This can offer some breathing room, but don’t rely on it for all deadlines.

Emergency Extensions Due to Disasters:

In the event of a natural disaster, affected areas may receive an extension on due dates. To verify if your area has been declared a disaster zone and to confirm your new filing deadlines, consult these official resources: FEMA and IRS Disaster Relief. Image 3
